Chapter 8:  CloseBy Network Groups

What is a group?

CloseBy Network allows the Care Network Manager to set up groups. These groups are established to identify those individuals seeking similar information about their loved one. CloseBy Network recommends that you establish groups in your care network to ensure the best care of your loved one. Setting up groups allows the right people to get the right information at all times.

System Default Groups

CloseBy Network is shipped with three groups already established. All you need to do is identify the CloseBy Network Members that belong to each group. The three default groups are:

Primary Care Group: This group has full access to the system and can see all information from all sensors.

Family & Friends Group: This group has limited access to the system. They receive information on the sensors that the Information Manager grants them access to. This group is able to run reports and see detailed information for the sensors they have access to.

Extended Family and Friends: This group is considered secondary care providers. They only receive information that the CloseBy Information Manager has granted them access to.

Creating Groups

The creation of groups can only be done by the Care Network Manager. To learn more about creating groups or managing information for groups, please refer to Chapter 12 for more information. If you are unsure of who your Care Network Manager is for your CloseBy Network, you can click My Settings > Customer Support, and the name and contact information will be displayed in the lower left hand corner.
