Chapter 3: Sensor Status Tab
Continuing the overview of the CloseBy Network, Chapter 3 will familiarize you with the features and functionality you will find under the Sensor Status tab.
Review Sensor Status and Recent Activity
Current Status and Recent Activity provide system details about sensors’ statuses and activity. In the screenshot below, you can see under Current Status that both the patio and back door are closed. However, when you check Recent Activity, you can see that the back door registered activity around 4 p.m. With Current Status and Recent Activity, you can determine the current status of each sensor and its most recent activity.
Checking Sensor Status
Your CloseBy Network access also allows you to review individual sensor status. Clicking on the Sensor Status tab changes your screen view. Now you can review (see screenshot below) individual sensors and their activity detail. You even have the option to review sensor activity broken down by 24 hours, Last 25 Events, 7 Days, and Seen by.
For each sensor, you can review individual activity. The Total Activity Graph changes to show Sensor Activity for the individual sensor you’ve selected (e.g., Front Room Motion).
Reviewing Sensor Status Criteria
You can review sensor status and event history in four different ways: Last 24hrs, Last 25 Events, 7 Days, and Seen by. You can see this information for each sensor in the CloseBy Network.
- Last 24hrs: You can review the events for each sensor during the last 24-hour period.
- Last 25 Events: You can review the last 25 events for each sensor no matter when they have happened.
- 7 Days: You can review sensor events over the last seven days, by day.
- Seen by…: You can review which members in your CloseBy Care Network have been access to view the selected sensor data.
