Chapter 12:  Care Network Manager

Granting Support Access to Your Dealer or CloseBy Support

As the Care Network Manager, you can control support access to your CloseBy Network. You can grant access to the dealer or CloseBy support to help you and/or your Information Manager.

  1. To access your support options click Network Manager>Pending Action>Summary.

  2. You’ll see the follow check box options under Summary tab.

  3. Check the options you want to apply to your CloseBy Network. Click the Apply button to activate Support Access.
  4. If you’ve checked any of the options, you’ll see “Support Access is ON!” in the upper right of your screen each time you login.

Member Management:  Managing Care Network Members

You add, remove, and manage your Members by completing the following steps:

  1. Click Network Manager>Member Management   .

  2. Under Member Management, you’ll see the following options:

  3. In the Member Profile window you can add specific details either about current members or new members. When you’ve either finished adding or changing information, click Save.

  4. To remove a Member, highlight the member name in the list, and click the Remove button.
  5. To invite a Member that you know is already in the system, click the Invite button and enter their login information.
  6. In the pop-up box that appears, enter the login ID and click the Invite button to add them to you network.

Group Management:  Managing Care Network Groups

You can add, remove, and manage your Groups by completing the following steps:

  1. Click Network Manager>Group Management

  2. Under Group Management, you’ll see the following options:

  3. In the Group Detail window you can define a new group and add or remove Group Members. When you’ve finished adding information, click Save.

  4. To remove a Group, highlight the Group name in the list, and click the Remove button.

Module Management:  Managing Your Network Modules/Sensors

You can add, remove, and manage your modules (i.e., sensors) by completing the following steps:

  1. Click Network Manager>Module Management


  2. Under Module Management, you’ll see the following options:

  3. Under the Module Management tab you can review the information for each module (i.e., sensor). You can update the name for your module, add a description, and assign an Information Manager. Once you’ve made your changes, click the Save button. You can also click Reset to clear the Module Detail information. Members must already be entered into the network in order to select an Information Manager from the drop-down box.

  4. You can view Sensor Info. Information is available for each individual sensor. You can add a custom name, define the type of sensor, and determine whether it can be seen in the network or not. When you’ve finished adding, renaming, or changing information, click Save.

    Note: If you have cameras in your network, you can review the details under the Camera Management tab.

Module/Sensor Notification

You can create notifications for your sensor, by clicking the Module Notifications tab. You have the following options:


These notifications will alert you via email based on the criteria you set. Instead of logging in to the CloseBy Network to see what’s happening, you can set up notifications to alert you. Once you’ve set your criteria, click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.

Sensor Order

 You can control the order in which the network sensors display on the main status page using the Sensor Order tab.

To change the sensor order, select the sensor and click Up or Down. When you’re finished, click the Save changes button.

Managing Your Care Network

Under Network Management, you can review and modify the details of your network.

  1. Click Network Manager>Network Management


  2. Under Network Management, you’ll be able to see the following:
  3. You can review Network Status and Network Details. When you’ve made all required changes, click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.
  4. As the Care Network Manager, you have the right to change your Dealer of Record. If for some reason you are not happy with the service that you have received from your dealer, you can request another dealer number in your area and enter it in the DOR info page. We suggest that you work with your dealer to have them provide you with the service you require. Please contact CloseBy Network support if you require assistance in this area.
